| Ron Elrod, accomplished pianist, vocalist,
and composer showed an interest in music early in childhood. He began taking
piano lessons when he was only five years old. Even though he could not reach
the piano pedals at this young age, he wanted to play the piano more than
anything. At age fourteen, Ron started playing for church services. By age
17, he was playing with gospel quartets such as The Templeaires and the Calvarymen
Quartet, in the Michigan area.
Later, Ron organized the nationally recognized gospel
trio, Sons of Song. With many of his own compositions recorded on cassette
and CD, Ron became a welcomed musical guest at churches throughout the
U.S. and Canada. Ron has shared the stage with such well-known artists
as: The Cathedral Quartet, J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet, Dottie
Rambo, Bill Gaither, The Statesmen Quartet, The Blackwood Brothers, The
Oak Ridge Boys, Imperials, and Singing Canadians.
Ron attributes his longstanding musical success to
his Heavenly Father for the gift of music, and to his earthly father who
constantly encouraged him to keep playing and singing for the Lord. Ron’s heartfelt summary of
his life so far can be summed up in this one statement: “I thank God
for his mercy and blessing on my life. Without Him, I would have no song
to sing, and no reason to make music.”
Ron believes that no church gathering is too big or too small for his music...
God blesses his people in every setting. Ron Elrod continues to compose new
music, and clearly presents the gospel in every church, in every concert,
and in every song. |

Grace
Baxter has been in and around Christian music circles most of her
life. Having
a mother who was a prominent music teacher in
Ontario Canada, and a father who was also musically talented laid the foundation
for a lifetime of music appreciation. But not just ANY music would do! Grace began
singing at age four in the church her family attended. Piano lessons and
music theory were next to capture her attention. However, it wasn't until
age fifteen that Grace's creative musical ability began to shine. As a
young teen, Grace began experimenting with song writing. There were the
fun little "ditties" she composed for the sheer enjoyment for
herself and younger sisters. Then she began composing
songs with rich harmony. In those days, Youth For Christ was the place to
be every Saturday night, and Grace never missed an opportunity to sing
at any church youth event. In her late teens, Grace auditioned and joined a choral group of young adults called, "The David
E. Williams Chorale". These singers came out of The People's Church
in Toronto, and travelled extensively throughout Southern Ontario singing
at churches and school campuses. Since those
early beginnings, Grace has always been involved in Christian music: singing
solo, in trios and mixed ensembles, in choirs (singing and directing),
writing music, piano playing (a necessity) and recording. It was this latter endeavour that led her to meet Ron
Elrod in 2004. In addition to being an excellent musician himself, Ron also owns
and operates a recording studio. At a time when Grace's life seemed to be
taking on a new turn, she decided it was time to fulfill her life-long desire
to record a solo album. Ron immediately recognized Grace's talent and genuine
love for the music. He also noticed her devotion to the Lord and a willingness
to give Him her best.
Ron and Grace began their combined music ministry cautiously.
Soon, they were receiving many requests to "do more duets".
Grace sums up her life's journey this way:
I always knew I was meant to be singing for the Lord. I
have seen God work in people's lives through music, and I know that He
honours my efforts when I seek Him first. I long to hear the words, "Well
done, good and faithful servant." God has given me so much for which
to be thankful. I thank him for musical parents. I especially praise him
for the privilege of using my music to reach others.
